The Missouri Ozarks
The Missouri Ozarks are home to back roads, limestone bluffs, rolling hills, and the Lake of the Ozarks.
Life on the Water
The Lake of the Ozarks is known for its marinas, winding shoreline, and summer crowds. Away from the busiest areas, you'll find quiet coves, winding trails, and plenty of open space.
When the Weather Changes
Storms roll across the hills with little warning. Fog settles into the valleys before sunrise. The weather can change quickly, and the landscape looks different with every season.
Hidden Places
Many of the settings in Capheleon Nights began in places I've explored throughout the Ozarks. Some are drawn directly from real locations, while others were changed to fit the story.
Faithful Companions
Some of my favorite memories of the Ozarks involve exploring with my dogs. My experiences with them helped shape the relationship between Donata and Magnus long before the first chapter was written.
